During the Village of Westchester's Committee of the Whole meeting Tuesday evening, village staff presented to board members information about the application submitted by West40 requesting a Planned Unit Development at the former St. Joseph High School. West40 executive director Dr. Mark Klaisner was present to answer any questions.
Last week, the village's planning and zoning commission approved West40's special permit request to renovate St. Joseph into a residential school for up to 40 foster children. The students will be boys between the ages of 11-18.
A final vote on West40's petition is expected to take place at the next village board meeting on June 25.
