WEST40 PROUD TO HOST MULTIPLE EVENTS FOR STUDENTS’ FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

West40 continues to “be what you need” through food donations and organizing family activities and holiday events for members of our community.

We worked with generous donors to provide dozens of Thanksgiving meals and supplies to West40 area families.

Additionally, our ALOP student advocates welcomed students and their families to family night events in many of our West40 partner school districts throughout late November to mid-December. These events typically occur twice a year and are a great way for families to meet with advocates and enjoy food, games, and photo booths.

“We appreciate our families and want them to feel loved,” said West40 Southern Tier site coordinator Entesar Ebrahimi.

Santa also welcomed families at West40’s second annual Cookies & Cocoa event at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Melrose Park on December 9th. There, kids and their family members decorated holiday cookies, enjoyed hot cocoa, and took photos with Santa. Approximately 125 people West40 area communities attended. Special thanks to the volunteers and community based organizations who helped make Cookies & Cocoa a memorable event.
