Exploring a Famous CLOSED High School Before its DEMOLITION
West40 walks through the north building of the former St. Joseph High School in Westchester, Illinois, in the days leading up to its demolition in the summer of 2024. The school has a storied history in the Chicagoland area and was featured prominently in a 1994 documentary about high school basketball. West40 purchased the St. Joseph property with plans to renovate the south building into a state-of-the-art residential school for Illinois foster children. West40.org

How ALOP Supports Illinois Students... and why there are calls for expanding ALOP to grades K-3
Alternative Learning Opportunities Programs (ALOP) in Illinois provide a support system for students in grades 4-12 in their home school setting and allow for students to improve their behavior, attendance, and grades. Making ALOP available to students in grades K-3 would require legislative approval.
