| Description |
The Common Core Standards expect all of us to be "teachers of reading" - no matter what our subject or content area. This workshop will support content area and language arts teachers alike as they use informational text to instruct their students. Using current research on learning styles and best practices, this class will help teachers: choose and use thinking and reading strategies that will help students to comprehend content, model thinking processes for students when reading informational text and create lesson plans and ideas for any content area.
Participants will receive a professional resource book to use in their instruction. |
