The revised Gifted Education Seminar is an interactive computer-based professional learning opportunity. The content is organized into four modules: overview/perspectives, knowing the gifted child, differentiation, and curriculum models. The modules are based on work from experts in the field such as Carol Ann Tomlinson, Bertie Kingore and more. THIS YEAR ONLY, Gifted Education Seminar is a free program. As part of this program, participants will receive two textbooks and a USB drive, also free. All participants will be required to complete a project prior to May 19, 2010.
This particular session of the Gifted Education Seminar has the following format: four hours of facilitated meetings (held at West 40) and 45 hours of self-directed instruction which must be completed by May 19, 2010. Participants need to bring a computer with Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash loaded, Windows 2000 or better, and USB capabilities. Earphones will be provided to participants.
45 hours of CPDU credit available or three hours graduate credit available through Lindenwood University for $200 plus a $25 registration fee. |
