Designed for mathematics teachers or for those who wish to teach mathematics, this 37 semester hour master’s degree program will enable teachers to develop and implement curriculum based on The Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and the mathematical practices associated with them.
-Master of Arts in Science Education
Designed to equip secondary science teachers with the science content and science education pedagogy, this 37 semester hour master’s degree program will enable teachers to instill the passion for science in our next generation of learners. Secondary teachers who seek to increase their knowledge of STEM in biology, chemistry, physical science and earth and space science will learn new ways to work with students in the classroom to meet the Next Generation Science Standards.
-Master of Arts in Mathematics and Science Education
Designed for elementary school teachers who wish to strengthen their content knowledge in mathematics and science, this unique 37 semester hour master’s degree program curriculum focuses on national standards in mathematics and science and how to implement them in the classroom.
Designed for teachers who already hold an existing Illinois teaching certificate/license in another subject area, the 18 semester hour bilingual/ESL endorsement will enable teachers to seek employment in Illinois as a bilingual or ESL teacher in the same grade level as their original certificate/license.
-Special Education Endorsement
Designed for teachers who already hold an existing Illinois teaching certificate/license (type 03 or 09), the 19 semester hour Special Education endorsement will enable teachers to seek employment in Illinois as a special educator at the same grade level as their original certificate/license.
